The beach access is fantastic and the pools are nice. We had a lot of noise from the bar during happy hour, which disrupted our relaxation. The mini golf was a hit with the kids! it’s a good spot if you can handle some chaos.

Beach access was fantastic and the pools were really nice. The food prices were high and breakfast choices were limited. Love the live music by the pool, it added fun to our stay.

The heated pool was perfect for those cooler days! Our room gave us stunning beach views and was super spacious for our family. The staff felt like friends, always ready to help with a smile.
Strongly recommend! ❤️🌊

Great pools and fun activities for the kids. Clean rooms and friendly staff made our stay enjoyable.
It was a bit pricey, but still worth it.

I was really disappointed with the smoke smell in the hallways. It felt like a family-friendly spot, but the lack of enforcement meant we had to deal with whiffs of weed and cigarettes everywhere. It just wasn’t right.

Great beach access and friendly staff, but limited parking and dated rooms.

The beach access was fantastic, making it easy to soak in the sun. Having a poolside view was lovely, but the pools got crowded fast. The food trucks were a fun touch, although dining options on-site felt limited and pricey. The room started strong with a comfortable bed and a rainfall shower, but cleanliness left something to be desired. Staff were hit or miss; some friendly faces, others not so much. The parking situation was frustrating, leading to a garage a block away. For the price, I expected more consistency, but the activities made it memorable.

The Island Resort At Fort Walton Beach offers a prime beachfront spot complemented by a vibrant pool area loved by kids. The daily activities keep guests engaged, and the convenience of nearby grocery stores makes it easy to stock up on essentials. A memorable family vacation overall!

The activities for kids are a blast, especially Mickey the pirate show. Staff is friendly, and the patio area is great for live music and relaxing.
But the room view felt like a parking garage instead of paradise.

Location is ideal. Steps from the beach and boardwalk. Excellent amenities and friendly staff. The heated pool was a daily highlight, perfectly maintained and inviting even in chillier weather. beach access comes at a cost—$40 for chairs. Expect to trek to public areas to avoid fees. Rooms are clean but small. Bathrooms need attention; slightly stained towels shouldn't occur. An unpleasant encounter with a staff member over my kids' innocent play felt excessive. Assigning me an occupied room on arrival was concerning. Despite these issues, the beauty of the surroundings and daily activities make this resort worth a revisit. Minor hurdles, yet potential for greatness remains.

The resort offers easy access to beautiful beaches and is just 500 meters from Wayside Park, 700 meters from the Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island, and a short stroll to some fantastic restaurants like Rockin Tacos and Island Time Pizza, making it ideal for relaxing walks and tasty meals; amenities including multiple pools, an adults-only grotto, and excellent dining at the Coastal Kitchen really enhance the experience, but the room comfort could use some improvement.

Our recent stay at the beachfront paradise with our cherished little ones was absolutely delightful. Building sandcastles and exploring the white sandy beaches with crystal clear waters made for unforgettable family bonding moments.
My wife says that the resort could benefit from a dedicated splash pad for younger children.

Clean rooms, clean beach with a beautiful array of dining options that cater to different tastes, making it easy to enjoy every moment without the hassle of leaving the property.
Utterly satisfied.

A beach vacation oasis where I could shop, dine, and have fun without leaving. The fresh sea bounty and romantic ambiance at the seafood restaurant were delightful. Watching Gulf sunsets from my private balcony was the cherry on top.
Loved the surprise resort fees and unmet room expectations.

White sand beaches in Fort Walton Beach were primo for building epic sandcastles. Plus, live entertainment on site kept the vibe high.
Adding a cool poolside bar with DJ sets would make this vacay even more hype! .

The room was cozy but felt a bit cramped for our needs. The bed was comfortable, though we faced an issue with the size of the sheets. They didn't fit properly, which disrupted our sleep. Temperature control was fine, keeping the room at a pleasant level. Noise from activities outside was noticeable, especially music at night. Housekeeping maintained cleanliness, sweeping and scrubbing daily, which was appreciated. the bathroom could use better amenities. The decor was basic, lacking in luxurious touches.

The heating and air conditioning in the room worked well, ensuring a comfortable temperature throughout our stay. It was nice to have tea and coffee facilities in the room for a quick pick-me-up in the mornings. One thing that stood out to us was the free Wi-Fi in the rooms, which made it easy to stay connected during our trip. we did notice a lack of garden furniture outside our room, which would have been nice to have for relaxing outdoors. The free toiletries provided were a nice touch, but we did find that they were not consistently restocked by housekeeping during our stay. We also had some trouble with the AM/FM alarm clock, which didn't seem to work properly. While we didn't have a chance to enjoy the flat-screen TV in the room, we did take advantage of the dry cleaning and laundry services offered by the hotel, which were convenient. Although we didn't receive a welcome drink upon check-in, we did appreciate the happy hour specials at the bar.

Island Resort At was the best resort stay in the area. the location was great for the competition, with a grocery store close by. the hotel provided a wrist key card for easy access. the buffet included meal vouchers and Coastal Kitchen had great pizza. the property had live music daily and nightly, many food options, and excellent breakfast buffet. the pools and beach access were perfect, and there were plenty of activities around. the staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. It truly felt like being on an island.
There was nothing I didn't like. 😊

The breakfast included in the room price was fantastic, with a great variety and the option to choose between a buffet or ordering from the menu. Plus, the location right on the beach was amazing; you couldn't ask for a better spot to relax and enjoy the view.
The room we stayed in was not well-maintained and outdated compared to other rooms. Additionally, the cleanliness of the rooms left much to be desired, as we encountered unwelcome critters during our stay.

The ocean view was stunning, and the housekeeping staff were exceptional. They kept our room clean and cozy throughout our stay. The resort offered a wide range of daily activities, adding a fun touch to our vacation. It was located in a convenient spot with various amenities onsite, including a beach bar and food trucks.
The beach water was disappointing, as it wasn't as clear as expected and had seaweed. The lack of communication about the conditions was a letdown, especially during a family vacation.

The beach house location provided an amazing view and easy access to the trip bar for live music. The housekeeping staff were prompt and helpful in addressing our needs. I was pleasantly surprised to be reimbursed for leaving a day early. I enjoyed my stay at Island Resort At.

We had a fantastic stay at a beachfront resort in Fort Walton Beach. The newly remodeled room had a beachy vibe and was super comfortable, perfect for a light sleeper like me. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making our experience even better. The grounds were stunning, with beautiful gardens and plenty of activities for everyone. The pool and poolside games/contests kept my teens entertained, while the beach access and nearby attractions like the Gulfarium and pier made exploring easy. The location was unbeatable, with restaurants within walking distance. it was an unforgettable vacation.
The early checkout time of 11am, which didn't give us enough time to fully enjoy our last day. It would have been great to have a later checkout, especially since we had a special birthday celebration planned.

the island resort at is great for a clean - comfy stay. it's awesome being close to the beach and having the option to dine in - especially when it's rainy. the maid service is quick, and the staff know the local spots.

Great beachfront location with beautiful views, newly refurbished rooms with modern decor and comfortable amenities, beach bar with acoustic guitarist and great bartender, refreshing waterfall pool with swim-up bar, tropical landscaping with delightful paths, pool parties and games for all ages.
Felt warm, nothing to complain about.
